Privacy Policy
How Movevia collects, uses, shares and protects personal data.
Last updated: 2026-09-11
1. Controller
The data controller is the company operating Movevia. Verified company identity and legal contact details are published on the Contact page once an administrator has entered and confirmed them; until then, use the contact form.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, phone number if you provide it, country and language preference.
Marketplace activity: searches, service requests, quotes, bookings, reviews, messages, relocation checklists and saved favourites.
Immigration data: answers to the preliminary questionnaire, case records, and any documents you choose to upload to a case.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and strictly necessary session data used for security.
3. Purposes and legal bases
To provide the account and marketplace services and to perform our agreement with you (contract).
To match requests with providers and transmit the information needed for them to respond (contract).
To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service (legitimate interests).
To meet accounting, consumer protection and other legal obligations (legal obligation).
To send optional marketing messages or to use non-essential cookies (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
4. How data is collected
Directly from you through forms on the platform, automatically through your use of the site, and from providers when they update a case you are part of.
5. Recipients
The provider you contact receives the information needed to respond to your request or case. Providers act as independent controllers for their own professional records.
Service suppliers: our cloud hosting and application platform, the database, authentication, file storage and email delivery services that run Movevia, and, where you sign in with Google, Google for authentication only. We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Movevia is an international platform. Data may be processed outside your country: providers you contact may be located in another country, and our infrastructure suppliers may operate servers in the European Union and other jurisdictions.
Transfers are made only where a lawful transfer mechanism applies, such as explicit consent, performance of your contract, an adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses. No payment processor receives data, because online payments are not enabled.
7. Retention
Account and marketplace records are kept while your account is active and afterwards only as long as required for legal claims and statutory record-keeping. Case documents are kept for the duration of the case and any applicable retention period, then deleted. Contact messages are kept while the enquiry is handled.
8. Security
Access is restricted by database-level row security so that customers see only their own records and providers see only the cases assigned to them. Uploaded documents are stored in private storage and are reachable only through short-lived, permission-checked links.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent for marketing or non-essential cookies at any time without affecting the service.
Legal and data protection requests can be sent through the contact form on the Contact page. Where an administrator has published verified company and legal contact details, they are shown on that page.
10. Children
Movevia accounts are for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for people under 18.
